Use scallions to disinfect flowers

Garlic has natural pesticide properties. To make a homemade spray, peel and crush a head of garlic into a paste, then mix it with 300 ml of water for every 1 kg of garlic. Let the mixture soak for one hour, then boil it, cool it down, and strain the liquid. This solution can be used to spray chrysanthemums, roses, and other flowering plants to effectively control pests like aphids and scale insects. Another use for garlic is in making fresh cut flower preservatives. In a container, mix 5 ml of concentrated garlic extract with 100 ml of fresh water, add 2 ml of alcohol, and dissolve 2 grams of sugar. Replace this solution every three days to help extend the life of cut flowers such as chrysanthemums and carnations by up to 5 to 7 days. Similarly, green onions can also be used to create a natural insecticide. Take 1 kg of chopped green onions, mash them, and add 400 ml of water. Let it soak for two hours, then filter the juice. When diluted 6 to 8 times, this solution works well for controlling spider mites on hibiscus and jasmine plants. For smaller indoor plants, you can apply the solution directly to the leaves using a cotton swab to prevent red spider mites and aphids. Welsh onions are also useful in flower care. They can be used as a soaking solution for flower seeds. Adding a few drops of welsh onion juice to the seed soaking water helps eliminate internal and external fungi and viruses, promotes root growth, and increases the germination rate of seeds. This method is especially effective for gardeners looking to grow healthy, disease-free plants from the start.
