Use scallions to disinfect flowers

Garlic naturally produces compounds that act as natural pesticides. To make a garlic-based spray, peel and crush a head of garlic into a paste, then mix it with 300 ml of water for every 1 kg of garlic. Let the mixture soak for one hour, then bring it to a boil, let it cool, strain it, and use it as a spray. This solution is effective against aphids, scale insects, and other pests when applied directly to the leaves of chrysanthemums, roses, and other flowering plants. Another use for garlic is in making fresh cut flower preservatives. In a container, mix 100 ml of fresh water with 5 ml of concentrated garlic extract, add 2 ml of alcohol, and dissolve 2 grams of sugar. Replace this solution every three days. This mixture can significantly extend the lifespan of cut flowers like chrysanthemums and carnations by up to 5 to 7 days. Scallions also have pest control properties. Take 1 kg of chopped green onions, mash them, and mix with 400 ml of fresh water. Let the mixture soak for two hours, then filter out the liquid. When spraying on flowers or trees, dilute the solution 6 to 8 times. It is especially effective against spider mites on hibiscus and jasmine. For indoor plants, you can dab the leaves with a cotton swab soaked in the scallion solution to prevent red spider mites and aphids. Welsh onions can also be used as a soaking solution for flower seeds. Adding welsh onion juice to seed soaking water helps eliminate internal and external fungi and viruses, promotes root growth, and increases germination rates.
