Prevention of parrot fever

pathogen

The pathogen is Chlamydia psittaci. Chlamydia is not very resistant to high temperatures. It is inactivated at 55°C for 5 minutes and 37°C for 48 hours. It can survive for up to 6 days under sunlight and survive for up to 17 days in water. Chlamydia is less sensitive to acids and bases, but is easily inactivated by quaternary ammonium compounds and lipid solvents. Generally disinfectants such as benzalkonium chloride iodine solution, 70% alcohol, 3% hydrogen peroxide can be in minutes. Internal damage to its infectivity.

Epidemiology

Chlamydia psittaci is pathogenic to all kinds of birds and susceptible to parrots and pigeons. Diseased birds and carriers are the main source of infection. The disease can be infected by contaminated dust and droplets scattered in the air through the respiratory tract or conjunctiva, blood sucking insects such as cockroaches, but also contagious. Because people can also be infected, pay attention to their own protection.

symptom

Due to the different virulence of Chlamydia, the clinical manifestations of sick birds are very different, and parrots, pigeons, etc. may be manifested as being infected. The diseased parrot is mentally protonated, does not eat, has purulent secretions on the eyes and nose, diarrhea, dehydration and emaciation in later stages. The sick pigeons are uneasy, have eye and nose secretions, anorexia, diarrhea, most of the old birds can recover but become carriers.

Prevention

1 Control the source of infection. Before introducing a new bird, it is necessary to know if there is a chlamydial disease in the local area. You must enter the group after two weeks of isolation observation.

2 Diabetic excrement, litter and feathers should be carefully handled. Cage equipment should be strictly disinfected to eliminate blood-sucking insects and prevent the spread of the disease.

3 can be used tetracycline (including chlortetracycline, oxytetracycline, erythromycin) treatment, chloramphenicol toxicity can not be used. The therapeutic amount is 2 grams to 4 grams per kilogram of feed, but it is not effective for latent infection. Treatment should be carried out under strict isolation conditions. When the number is small, consider eliminating diseased birds.

4 feed "bird music" 4 5 days to 7 days, 1 g per day.

5 feeding "enhanced" No. 6 capsules is better.

Ganoderma Extract (Ganoderma Lucidum extract/Reishi mushroom extract) is extracted from top-graded organic shell-broken Ganoderma Lucidum spore powder using advanced modern technology. Spores are the seeds of Ganoderma Lucidum. When it matures, the spores are released from the mushroom cap. They are also where most of the nutrients of Ganoderma Lucidum are contained. In order to allow the nutrients inside the spore powder to be fully absorbed by human body, we used a patented technology called low temperature physical shell-breaking technology to crack the cell wall of Ganoderma Lucidum spore powder.

The Ganoderma we used for this product comes from our self-built organic Ganoderma farm at Mt. Wuyi. Both the farm and the GMP workshop have acquired organic certifications from 4 countries and regions including Chinese, Japan, the US, and the EU. We do not use any type of herbicide, pesticide, or chemical fertilizer during the whole cultivation process, delivering the best and safest product to our customers.

By using extraction technology, we can increase the concentration of Ganoderma polysaccharides and triterpenes in the product. Reishi Mushroom Powder polysaccharides and triterpenes both work together to enhance human’s immune system, fighting against diseases and infections. Also, Ganoderma can help protect the liver, increase sleep quality as well as relive stress.
