Lushui, or "southern water," refers to food waste collected from hotels, restaurants, schools, and factories. Due to its low cost and high nutritional value, it is an excellent feed for pigs. However, it can also be a breeding ground for harmful bacteria. Feeding pigs directly with this waste may introduce pathogens, leading to disease outbreaks and poor pork quality. Traditionally, the method of treating this waste involves cooking, which is labor-intensive, fuel-consuming, and often results in nutrient loss, spoilage, and environmental pollution.
The use of Goldbeet fermentation agents solves these issues effectively. It not only eliminates harmful bacteria during processing but also enhances the nutritional value, improves nutrient absorption, and transforms the waste into a safe and high-quality animal feed. After proper microbial treatment, the fermented material meets feed standards, and the resulting pork complies with national regulations.
**Fermentation Method:**
Collect muddy water from canteens, restaurants, and factories, which mainly consists of rice (over 50%). Pour it into a container and mix with 50 kg of corn (or 100 kg if not rice-based), 30 kg of soybean meal, and 50–150 kg of rice bran or straw powder. Add 5 kg of calcium hydrogen phosphate or superphosphate. Ensure the mixture is packed tightly to create an anaerobic environment, which helps eliminate harmful bacteria. Cover the container with plastic and secure it with a rope, leaving a small opening to prevent explosions from gas buildup. Fermentation usually takes 1–3 days in summer, 3–4 days in spring and autumn, and 4–7 days in winter. Bubbles and a slight acidic smell indicate successful fermentation.
When feeding animals, add 25 grams of vitamins per 100 kg of fermented material to avoid deficiencies. Before fermentation, do not remove hard objects like toothpicks or glass; remove them before the process ends to avoid intestinal damage in pigs. Bones and raw meat can remain in the mixture as they help support microbial growth. Avoid using pure hot pot waste without energy sources like rice or corn.
**Preservation:**
Once fermented, the material must be sealed properly. If stored correctly, it can last up to six months. Always clean and disinfect the containers after each batch to prevent bacterial growth.
**Feeding Pigs:**
Fermented Lushui can replace up to 80% of energy feeds. A common approach is to mix 70% fermented material with 30% full-price feed. This has proven effective even for lean pigs, with pork meeting all food safety standards. Adjust the ratio based on pig size:
- Piglets (15–30 kg): 30% fermented + 70% starter feed
- Medium pigs (30–50 kg): 50% fermented + 50% grower feed
- Large pigs (50–100 kg): 70% fermented + 30% finisher feed
- Pregnant sows (0–90 days): 80% fermented + 20% rice bran + green feed
- Pregnant sows (91–lactation): 40% fermented + 60% finisher feed + green feed
- Boars: 40% fermented + 30% finisher feed + 20% rice bran + 10% wheat bran + green feed
This method not only reduces feed costs but also improves pig health, growth rates, and reproductive performance. The pork produced is of high quality, and sows have better milk production and litter survival.
Fermented Lushui can also be used to feed chickens and ducks, which enjoy the taste. The feeding methods are similar to those for pigs, adjusted according to specific needs.
**Important Tips:**
Start with a small percentage (10%) and gradually increase to 30% or 50%. Do not reduce energy or protein feeds unnecessarily, as this could delay growth. Adding fat to the diet can improve feed absorption and growth rate. Using fermented Lushui significantly lowers breeding costs, especially for sows during the non-pregnant period and early pregnancy. Just ensure that some green feed is included for balanced nutrition.
Sterilization Reel & Sterilization Pouch
Sterilization pouches and reels are frequently used sterilization package materials in hospitals, it is disposable which could effectively build the sterile barrier systems for reusable surgical instruments and devices, such as the scisors, surgical blades, etc.
Sterilization reels could be cutted into the lengths depends on real-life situation, which are widely used for the package of put-together surgical kits, which the pouches more offten used for dental clinics for single medical device.
