Economic breeding goose two methods

Fermenting corn straw powder for goose feeding is an effective way to reduce feed costs and improve growth rates. From one month old to four months old, each goose can save about 3 kilograms of grain. For example, if geese are raised on pasture for three months, each bird can save up to 13.5 kilograms of feed, while also growing faster. The process involves the following steps: First, prepare the fermented material. For every 100 kg of straw feed, mix 0.2 kg of biological straw preparation with 30 kg of corn bran, stir well, then add 69.8 kg of straw powder. Mix thoroughly and add enough water so that it can drip slightly when squeezed. In winter, use warm water at 30–50°C. Place the mixture in a tank, pool, or plastic bag, seal it tightly, and ferment. From mid-May to mid-October, fermentation takes 2–3 days, while from mid-October to mid-May, it may take 5–7 days. For feeding, commercial geese at one month old should start with small amounts, gradually increasing to 50% of their diet. Geese aged 3–5 months can be fed entirely with this material. Breeder geese during the laying period can have 70% of their diet made up of this fermented material, combined with 15% sunflower meal, 4% bone meal, 10% corn, and 1% shell powder. Another method involves using sunflower shell powder. First, dry and crush the sunflower shells into powder, then soak them in boiling water before mixing with other feed ingredients. Goslings can begin consuming the powder after 20 days of age, starting with small amounts and gradually increasing the proportion. By day 30, the amount can reach 30% of the diet, rising to 60% by day 60, and up to 80% by day 90. This approach allows geese to be raised efficiently, reaching up to 4 kg in weight within 120 days.
