It feels surreal to look back at these photos of Skylar at just seven weeks old. It seems like yesterday, but at the same time, it feels like forever ago. Just like with Brayden at the same age—so many similarities, yet so much uniqueness too.
These moments are precious, aren’t they? Watching my little ones grow, their personalities blossoming, their laughter filling our home—it’s pure magic. And don’t even get me started on the chaos. Oh, the chaos. Like the other day, when they decided to turn their room into an impromptu aquarium using every basket we own. Water everywhere, but somehow, it made me smile. My husband walks in, shakes his head, and gives me that "why are you laughing?" look. I guess some things never change.
And let’s talk about their love for water. My kids could spend hours in the pool. Hours. I swear, they were born mermaids or something. But today, as I write this, they’re still splashing around, completely unaware that we need to leave in twenty minutes. Time management? Not their strong suit.
I often feel like I’m living in a perpetual state of gratitude. Each day brings its own challenges, but also its own joys. Today feels like one of those special days—a mini-Christmas, if you will. A chance to savor these fleeting moments before they grow up too fast.
^^ That face!
xoxo
