Back-up compression sprayer use and maintenance

1. Make sure to assemble the sprayer correctly, and check all connections for any air leaks. Before starting, perform a test spray with clean water first, then add the pesticide or solution. This helps ensure everything is working properly before handling chemicals.

2. When using the sprayer for actual spraying, always add water after adding the chemical. Never fill the tank beyond the safe water level mark. Before beginning, pump the handle more than 10 times to build up pressure to the required working level. Avoid applying too much force when pulling the trigger, as this could cause the air chamber to rupture or fail.

3. During the initial use, since the air chamber and spray nozzle may contain fresh water, the first few minutes of spraying may result in a diluted solution. This can affect the effectiveness of pest or disease control, so it's advisable to avoid spraying on sensitive areas during this time or adjust accordingly.

4. After finishing the job, empty any remaining liquid from the tank immediately and rinse the sprayer thoroughly with clean water. Check the air chamber for any standing water. If there is any, remove the water fitting and drain out the accumulated water to prevent mold or corrosion.

5. If the sprayer will not be used for a short period, clean and dry all major components before storing them in a cool, dry place. For long-term storage, apply a thin layer of oil to all metal parts to prevent rust and ensure the sprayer remains in good condition for future use.

Always follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate protective gear when handling pesticides. Regular maintenance not only extends the life of your sprayer but also ensures its efficiency and reliability. Keep the sprayer in a well-ventilated area and avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight when stored.
