The best time to perform this method is when the branches are semi-woody, typically between late August and late September. At this stage, the branches are flexible enough to be easily manipulated and fixed in place. This technique is most suitable for young trees aged 1 to 5 years, especially those with branches longer than one meter. When pulling, the angle should be controlled between 70 to 90 degrees, avoiding excessive bending that could cause the branch to snap. Additionally, the direction of the branch should be adjusted based on available space, allowing for better structural balance and improved light exposure, particularly for main branches. By carefully applying this method, growers can effectively manage tree growth and improve fruit production in the long run.
