Freezing damage to tea tree

When the tea tree grows in the cold weather below -2°C, it is vulnerable to freezing injury. Especially during the period of March-April tea plant sprouting, the temperature dropped to below 0°C and the tea buds were easily frozen. When the tea buds were dark, the tea buds became darker, the coke heads became coke-edge, and when the buds were dark, they died, and the spring tea production period was postponed. The shortening of the tea season has seriously affected the output and quality. Therefore, in addition to the prevention measures such as laying grass in the tea garden, fertilizing the soil, and smoking during the cold wave before the winter, the tea tree should be refrigerated according to its degree of frost damage.
The main methods are:
1 reasonable trim. For tea gardens with less severe frost damage, when the air temperature starts to rise steadily, it can be immediately cleared and the principle of “being rather light and not deep” can be mastered; the heavy and heavy branches can be convulsed or paralyzed.
2 timely fertilizer. Spring re-apply precipitating fertilizer, such as ammonium sulfate and other available nitrogen fertilizer 25-30kg/mu, superphosphate 50kg/mu, potassium sulfate 8-10kg/mu; suitable for the spring tea frozen in the bud, can be in the fish leaves To the time of the development of a leaf with potassium dihydrogen phosphate and urea 150-200g / mu mixed with water 50kg, for 2-3 times foliar spray.
3 pay attention to the crown culture. The tea tree tea lightly trimmed should be properly maintained in the late period, and tea gardens with heavy shears or Taiwanese trees should be strengthened in fertilizer and pest management to promote the restoration of tree vigor.
