Ursolic acid, aucubin, sterols, and geniposidic acid are the main products. There are also two new kinds of iridoid steroids 3,4-dihydroxypalmonine and 6-O-beta-glucose.

There are mainly acteosides, 3,4-dihydroxyphenylethanol-6-0-caffeoyl-BD-glucoside, plantamajoside and hellecos ide.
Volatile oil chemical composition
The volatile components in the herbaceous plantgrass were extracted with a distillation and extraction device (SDE). The mass fraction of the volatile oil from the plant was determined to be 2.79%. The 20 chemical components were separated and identified from the volatile oil of plantain by GC-MS. 98.08% of the total volatile oil.
