How to prevent the regeneration of new roots after cucumber colonization

The purpose of cucumber grafting is threefold: First, it can solve the problem of wilt disease and dead trees caused by continuous cropping; Second, it can enhance the plant's ability to resist cold and stress; Third, it can make cucumber root system developed and greatly increase production. On December 4th, the reporter discovered during the interview in the Zaohu area of Qingzhou that the cucumbers planted had a new root from the grafted joints. In this way, the effect of disease resistance, stress resistance, and yield increase after grafting will not be achieved.

“Master Liu, I observed it a moment ago, and your cucumbers almost all have new roots from the grafting point. Serious ones are deeply buried in the soil, and your rootstocks are relatively short and look very thin. Scion on the long Is it not the same as not grafting?” the reporter said.

"Isn't it? I am also worrying about it. Our planting mouthwash is generally arranged in early November. The nursery is concentrated on November 6 and 7, and on November 11-13 we came cold. The growth of the air and seedlings was affected, so the seedlings grew weaker, but I insisted on grafting. But I still planted in accordance with the depth of previous years, so the marriage interface is relatively close to the soil." Master Liu said helplessly.

In response, the reporter suggested that Master Liu prevent the regeneration of new roots in the following three aspects:

One is to hang vines early and hoist all the vines. When the vines hang too late, the melon vines grow on the ground, which will cause them to bend downwards from the marrying interface. When the scion of the grafted interface comes into contact with the ground, it will give birth to a new root, which leads to loss of grafting. Therefore, after the cucumber is planted, it is necessary to hang the vines in time or when it is found that the cucumber grows when the pods grow, and when the vines are hung, it is necessary to pay attention to wrap the vines around to the slings.

The second is to open a part of the soil around the rootstock. As the rootstocks are smaller, the vegetable growers still planted in accordance with the previous years' planting depth, resulting in the marrying interface being closer to the ground, or the soil covered after the planting is too high to make the grafting interface contact with the soil, which will cause the rooted cucumbers to produce new roots from the roots. Therefore, removing the part of the soil surrounding the interface to separate the two will reduce the chance of creating new roots.

The third is the timely removal of new roots. When the new root is cut off at the root, it must be pinched and flattened in time. After 1-2 days, it can be cut with scissors. This can prevent the direct supply of water and nutrients from being cut off and cause wilting. In order to prevent the bacteria from infecting the wound, timely dry soil or copper preparation should be applied to the wound after the root cut.

Ginseng can improve the general condition of diabetic patients, but does not change the degree of hyperglycemia. In other words, ginseng can reduce urinary sugar and blood sugar in patients with mild diabetes mellitus by 40-50 mg, which can be maintained for more than two weeks after discontinuation of medication. Although the effect of reducing blood sugar in moderate diabetes mellitus patients is not obvious, most of the general conditions have improved, such as thirst disappeared or alleviated; some patients can reduce insulin consumption after taking ginseng.
