Herbal dietary supplements show growth in various markets in the United States

The business club reported on April 1 that sales of herbal dietary supplements in all markets in the United States showed an increase in 2009. According to NBJ statistics, sales of herbal dietary supplements in the FDM market increased by approximately 15% year-on-year in 2009, sales of the natural health products market increased by approximately 5% year-on-year, and sales of direct sales channels increased by 1.5% year-on-year. From the perspective of market share, 50% of herbal dietary supplement sales appear in direct sales channels, followed by natural health products (32.6%) and FDM (17.5%). Among them, NBJ's data includes sales of Wal-Mart and Whole Foods, as well as other data sources not counted by IRI and SPINS.
