Selection of microporous membrane

When filtering, the appropriate microporous membrane must be selected according to the physical and chemical properties of the filter medium before use. There are many kinds of materials as microporous membranes, and their properties are different. Common microporous membranes are as follows:

(1)     Water microporous membrane: generally used for filtration of pure water phase. When filtering the mixed solvent containing the organic phase, the water-based filter should be avoided as much as possible to prevent the filter from being dissolved, because the aqueous filter is generally made of a cellulose-based material. Cellulose membrane materials are characterized by good hydrophilicity, good pore-forming properties, and wide sources, but poor acid and alkali resistance and organic solvent resistance, and poor creep resistance. The water filtration membrane series includes: a cellulose acetate membrane, a nitrocellulose membrane, a mixed ester membrane regenerated cellulose membrane, polyethersulfone, and the like.

(2)     Organic microporous membrane: for filtration of organic solvents. Commonly used organic microporous membranes: polytetrafluoroethylene membrane (PTFE) , polyvinylidene fluoride membrane (PVDF) , polyvinylidene fluoride

(3)     Mixed membrane filtration: generally used in water systems and organic systems. Mixed filtration membrane filtration: nylon membrane, modified polyvinylidene fluoride (modified hydrophilicity), polytetrafluoroethylene membrane ( modified hydrophilicity ), polyvinylidene fluoride membrane (modified hydrophilicity). Aliphatic nylon, good hydrophilicity, resistant to proper concentration of acid and alkali, not only suitable for aqueous solutions containing acid and alkali, but also for organic solvents, such as alcohols, hydrocarbons, ethers, esters, ketones , a homologue of benzene and benzene, dimethylformamide, dimethyl sulfoxide, etc., is one of the most widely used microfiltration membranes.

Under normal circumstances, disposable Masks are replaced once every 8 hours, and cannot be reused.
